Image tagging for Image:NZ Korea Jan-June 2006 008.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:NZ Korea Jan-June 2006 008.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. License tagging for Image:Gillianeadie.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gillianeadie.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome!

Hello, Ferraud2, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I see you are a New Zealander (or at least, appear to be by your edits). There are several NZ related Wikipedia pages.

Adding {{User New Zealand}} to your userpage will list you as a New Zealander.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I am not sure either of these people are notible enough for wikipedia. Also some of the wording on their articles appears to have been copied from other sources and might be copyright violations. Can you please have another look at the articles and possible expand them and remove the problem material. Thanks - SimonLyall 08:35, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Charles Finny

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Charles Finny meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charles Finny. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. EVula 05:50, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
